We have had a fun week in first grade! I just want to focus on a couple of special activities in this week's post. First, we wrapped up our study of maps this week with a STEM design challenge. Students were challenged to create a model of the perfect classroom. They were required to have certain things in their classroom (windows, door, cubbies, cabinets, etc). Outside of those requirements, they could create whatever classroom they wanted. It was so fun to see students' creativity come out! They really impressed me with the things they came up with! Some groups added a sink (complete with water and a faucet) while other students colored in the walls of their classroom while some other made a stick replica of their teacher. So fun! Enjoy the pictures below!
We also had a wonderful fall party this week! The kiddos got to decorate a pumpkin with stickers and enjoy some fun treats!
Next week is a busy week! Make sure to check out the events below so you don't miss anything!
